Why it’s worth it for companies to take part

The Industry Night offers the opportunity to engage directly with the local community at your own site and to position your company as an attractive employer. It gives your company high visibility among a wide audience, serves as a recruitment platform for young talent, and promotes networking within the region.

A look at Basel shows why it’s worth taking part. At the last four editions of the Regio Basel Industry Night, 103 different companies showcased their businesses. More than half of them have taken part more than once, with some even attending up to four times.

What the participating companies have to say:

“Health is undoubtedly the most important thing in life. At Roche, we work every day to build a healthier future. We are in the unique position of having research, development and production of medicines and diagnostic solutions all under one roof within our company. We were able to show our visitors exactly what that means at Industry Night. Our dedicated colleagues provided insights into their working environments and took visitors on a journey of innovation through research and development. We are delighted to have had these inspiring encounters.”
- Jürg Erismann, Site Manager, Roche Basel / Kaiseraugst (Verein Industrienacht Basel, 20 April 2024)

“We were delighted by the visitors’ interest – and by the atmosphere at the Industry Night. This was our third time taking part, both as a company opening its doors and as a sponsor. Our staff thoroughly enjoyed it once again. We were able to show many people the benefits our work brings and give them a feel for our corporate culture.”
– Luc Schultheiss, CFO of the Endress+Hauser Group (Verein Industrienacht Basel, 10 May 2025)

“Industry Night is a fantastic opportunity to bring electrical engineering to life for the general public and to engage in conversation with the many visitors. Alongside many interactive stations, including those featuring AR/VR headsets, we also opened our control cabinet workshop this year. Our apprentices once again showcased their project work. Many thanks to all visitors for the wonderful exchanges!”
– Flavia Schmidt, Head of Marketing & Communications at Selmoni (Verein Industrienacht Basel, 10 May 2025)

“We were delighted to see just how much interest there was in the diverse activities and processes involved in railway operations. The direct interaction with visitors was particularly valuable. These encounters build trust, inspire enthusiasm and demonstrate what is needed every day to keep the region moving.”
- Michel Berchtold, Head of SBB Central Region (Verein Industrienacht Basel, 10 May 2025)

“We’ve been convinced of the value of this format ever since the first Industrienacht in 2022, and this year’s event was once again a great success. For the first time, we offered insights into the biotechnology production facility at the Klybeck site, showing how vital medicines are produced and made available to patients. Industry Night offers our employees a valuable opportunity to engage with interested visitors and provide insights into our work.”
– Marcel Braun, Director of the Novartis Pavilion (Verein Industrienacht Basel, 25 April 2026)

“We are overwhelmed by the huge turnout. This rush of visitors proves just how curious and interested the local population is when it comes to matters concerning the BVB. This interest motivates us and is a great honour.”
– Bruno Stehrenberger, Director of Basler Verkehrs-Betriebe (Verein Industrienacht Basel, 25 April 2026)
